cool, what are you guys sending in?

after 3 years, around 100 brews and listening to 8 zillion archived shows, this is the first comp i've sent beers into.
Ive got an American Brown, American Red, an 80 Shilling, ESB, and a lower ABV saison, going in. I'm excited to get score sheets coming back.

I have a question for the BJCP competition vets though.

Both my Red and brown ales are very balanced BU/GU guidelines wise, yet very aggressive/PNW hop character wise (i.e) 90% of the IBU's come at 10 Min to flame out. I also lower boil IBU's to account for perceived IBU's from heavy dry hopping ( I love hop aroma!)
do these sorts of beers often not fare well?
I see Red seal and Moose drool as style examples in the guidelines and cringe because i brew more along the lines of Red Rocket and Bear republic 20th Anniversary brown ale as inspirations.
anyways
best of luck to y'all, hopefully they dont make your mug as ugly as the winners on this years six pack ( sorry tasty, bad artwork) :jnj

I've heard bad things about getting feedback for longshot....at least on the east coast. For example, don't expect anything back but a t-shirt.
suck it
