Rogue Dead Guy Ale

Is it just me or does beer taste different when you pour it from a 64oz growler vs a 12 oz bottle? I really enjoy Rogue Dead Guy Ale but I find it suits me better from a store bought growler (I can buy growlers or 6 packs locally at Sprouts Market). The growler version seems a little smoother, less bite from the initial bitterness and a mouthfeel that is somehow creamier. I poured back to back glasses tonight and I find it hard to believe it's just my imagination, OTOH I can't understand why they would be so different.

CARBONATION
Almost guaranteed that the carb level is lower in the growler.

Yeah Bub, you're probably right. By the time I polished off the growler and a couple bottles before posting, I couldn't come up with that simple answer.
