Midwest supplies "Hexnut brown ale" extract kit

Brewed this about 2 months ago. Put it into the keg around 3 weeks ago. First couple pints tasted very watered down so I wrote it off to being too "green" still. Now several weeks later the first couple sips I can taste that nutty roast flavor on the first sip but the mouthfeel is completely lacking and flavor is just not enough to keep me coming back....One of the first beers I'm considering dumping out. It's just to boring for me. My buddy back in the states said he had the same issue with the exact same kit.

Anyone on here brewed this with success? Any ideas on how to save this one other then blending it? (not really interested in blending it)

If you are looking to increase the mouthfeel, you could always boil up a little maltodextrin (maybe around 4-6 oz) and add it back to the keg. This would help by increasing the viscosity of the overall finished beer.

I tried that kit a couple of years ago & kind of remember having the same opinion of it as you've had. Not terrible, just really lacking in flavor. I'd chalked it up to my own error. I drank it all though. I'm stubborn like that.
