So I live in the Seattle area and finally took some time off from moving and painting the new house to go to the Mac & Jack's brewery tour in Redmond WA. The tour consisted of an overview of the brewery (read standard tour) with a tasting of their 4 beers. The first was the Serengeti Wheat, followed by the signature Mac & Jack's amber, their IPA (which was not my favorite), and finally the Black Cat Porter.
I've only had the amber before at various bars and better food establishments so I was hopeful when we reached the brewery. The wheat was one of the best I've ever had. I'm used to Widmer's hefe and the Pyramid Hefe so I'm curious what others think about the Serengeti compared to other American wheats they've had. I loved their version and will be taking a corney keg in for filling the next time I have a chance.
