anyone tried the new 8.2% blue moon grand cru?

seen this at the store for $11 for a 600ml bottle, so i was a little reluctant to buy but its got me curious. i might have to grab one

yeah... saw this at the store the other day, too. Kind of afraid to pick it up but I might have to.

I've been waiting for somebody else to try it first. There's a lot of great beers for less than $11 a bottle. :roll:

too true. a coworker gave me a bottle for Christmas. it's just a beefed up version of Blue Moon. nothing to write home about.

Grand Cru is Coors' highest rated currently available beer on RateBeer.com. It's probably good, but it definitely gears towards beer-idiots who think that a big price tag makes the beer good. At my local market can get a bottle of Double Bastard on the other side of the case for $4 less. :pop

had it as a starter to a winter tasting over the holidays.... pretty non-descript. more mellow than blue moon (aka tastes less like grandma smells) but nothing special.

It's a pass.
