Saison Rue

This beer is really special but if I'm in the mood for a Saison, I'd still reach for Dupont or Foret.

The Brett puts it into a category of its own.

By the way, I was until now guaranteed that I'd drink a full bottle of anything that had Brett in it as my wife hated it. But with this one, she took a sip and said, "I think this flavor is growing on me!" Crap.

I'm not big on the Saison Rue... but I really liked their Saison De Lente.

The last Rue I has was on tap at the brewery and it definitely had a buttery quality to it that I didn't care for. Bottles have been a little to sweet and full as well. I'm much more a fan of their Saison de Lente. THAT is a great saison, and the 100% brett fermented version is pure brilliance. I really hope that they made that again this year.

The Saison Rue changes quite a lot with a little aging. I've had it fresh at the Bruery and after sitting in the bottle for about a month.

Time for an experiment!
