a touch of Brett I like, but some beers overdo it. The De Proef Primitive Ales come to mind where there is just too much Brett character for me to enjoy them

Too much Brett! Never!!! Where do I find these De Proef ales...?

It's hit or miss with this. I've had one that was pretty nice and when I tried one 6 months later it smelled and tasted like horse ass. Or so I would guess...

I got a bottle of the Biere De Mars in Mass. it is out there at least a little. BTW other beers that have some brett but not over the top are Interlude from Allagash and Saison Rue from the Bruery. I happen to love all the Brett that I can get but these "Hybrids" are a great choice if you are sharing with someone that may not be fully into it.
