First visit to Ebenezers

Sun Dec 14, 2008 6:55 am

I finally made it to Ebenezers Pub last night with a group of four couples from Sandwich, NH. The beer selection is amazing - what a way to taste great Belgian beer! Chris gave us a tour of his beer cellar, which has tons of hard to find beers. Some of my favorites from last night include: Dupont Saison, Fantome Hiver, and De Struise Black Albert on tap, Tsjeeses (which Chris pronounces as Chesus) and Pannepot. The Black Albert and Pannepot were super smooth for 13% and 10 % ABV respectively and had lots of flavorful, spicy notes. Anyone have a homebrew recipe for De Strusie beers? I don't know if I could recreate the flavorful beers, but it would be fun to try!
