Darklord '08

Well from what I remember from the DLD event. DL '08 has achived what DL '07 was hyped up to be. No more teriyaki!!!!!!!!! and a damn good brew. I'm not gonna try and remember the details but I think that FFF has gotten it right. I will post again tomorrow after I crack another of these beautiful black sludges.

P.S. the oak-aged from '07 was phenominal, mellowed out a lot since last year. Great to drink (instead of cook with).

Ok still haven't gotten around to it but tomarrow is brew day so gotta drink something right?
Drink good beer! Your liver will thank you.

I am totally fascinated by this beer, but have never had the chance to taste it.

To those who have had the pleasure of the Dark Lord - can you describe how it compares to other huge RIS's that we might be familiar with - namely Alesmith's Speedway Stout, or Thirsty DOg Siberian Night, Victory Storm King, etc?

Anyone know of an extract based recipe that I could try out that might come close?

Yummy, chewy beers - just in time for fall!!
