I found this recipe a couple of months ago and I have started to play with it a little bit. I'm now on my 3 batch of it. Its always consistent and very good. I've wanted to do this recipe with Cascade hops but the balance right now with the glacier is on the money and I think the cascade might overpower the simple balance of the malt.
Most Black IPA's that I've tried have been good at one thing, like hops or roastyness. Not both. This Black IPA is very good at keeping a thin drinkability and having the hops present without making you scream double IPA.
