Calling his Highness Pope Jamil... need recipe feedback

Wed Feb 22, 2006 12:34 pm

Sunday I brewed Jamil's American Brown recipe that he posted on the B3 board about a year ago. It calls for .8oz Horizon for 60 min. I thought I had some, but my computer lied to me, and I didn't, and had already started brewing. Note to self always double check ingredient stock. So I substituted 1 oz of whole Columbus.

Question 1: How do you think this will effect the final beer.
Question 2: I was thinking about throwing in another oz of Amarillo as dry hops, any thoughts?

If it is for the bittering addition, then it will be fine. Even if it is for a later addition, it will be fine. Maybe a bit more citrusy, but that can be nice too.

As for more late/dry hops, heck, why not? :D
I hope my post helped in some way. If not, please feel free to contact me.
