Too fruity/floral IPA. Kettle hops or dry hop problem?

Thanks for the replies. Verdict would be the 5-10 minute additions are causing this? That sounds obvious now, just have too many floral hops I guess. I have brewed with all these hops before, not in this combo, just never got that floral aroma from them before.

I used to find a similar flaw in my IPA. After some experimentation i found cutting all of the centennial additions down to about 1/3 of the original recipe and keeping my beer at 50 degrees f during dry hopping did the trick. Not sure if this would help you, but i do think some experimentation and research drinking is in your best interest. Cheers!

Doesn't sound like esters then. I would drop the boil hops, just do bitter+whirlpool+dry hopping, see if you don't like that better.

Where do you live? What is your water profile? Do you have decent sulfate concentration in your water?

Probably not a "flaw" just not your personal preference. I love fruity and floral IPA's. Try some different hops. Single hop beers help understand what you like. Then add in one at a time during brews.

In a couple cases I noticed that hops can act like mixing 2 things in chemistry. A+B doesn't always equal C, sometimes you discover completely new worlds. My advice is to adjust slowly. Be careful though. You may learn something. Occasionally that hurts.
