Speaking of rye... I'd mentioned in the forums before that I work at the LHBS... Well, the guy that usually does our brew orders has been on the disabled list for the last month and a half, so I've been doing the orders. I meant to order four 1 # bags of rye malt, but left out a letter in the order code, so ended up ordering four 50# sacks of rye! My boss put up the following sign:
"SALE RYE MALT!!! Help Ryan save his job as he ordered about 50 times the amount of rye malt we normally carry. For a short while, $1.59 the pound, $59.99 the 50# bag. (good luck Ryan)"
After that I pointed out that the week he did the brew order, he managed to order 5 sacks or red wheat that are still sitting around... needless to say, the sign he made about the wheat sale said nothing about him losing his job...
