That would be my vanilla strong ale that is currently in one of my kegs. Underpitched let it go at room temp and I suppose if you really like cheap vodka it might be drinkable. The pic I use as my avatar is of this beer fermenting away. I use it partly because I thought it was a cool pick with all that krausen spilling all over and partly to remind me that the road to humility is paved with humiliation (and nasty beer).

my first beer. it was a stout. it was cidery and vinegar like. I was disappointed dumping every bottle down the drain, but thankfully not discouraged.

A blonde ale I made once. Turns out I had a bad fermenter that was making beer come out pretty terrible. This particular batch (again, a Blonde) was tasted by my friend who asked, "Is it some kind of cider?"

A couple of my early Mr. Beer batches were pretty foul. One in particular was a horrendous diacetyl fruit-salad mess (not that I knew what diacetyl was back then). I think that was my 3rd batch.

I also made a "Berliner" Blonde Ale once. It actually had a relatively clean lactic acid profile, but it was still pretty infected. At least it was more lactic than acetic.

I used some really old dry yeast one time. Only time I've really tasted autolysis. Tasted like old, rotten meat. Absolutely awful.

The Light Ale that came with my B3 brewing kit. I had no way of keeping the carboy cold enough for fermentation, so the beer was extremely buttery. I could have poured it on popcorn.

My third pumpkin ale. First time I did an all-grain one, and I processed the pumpkin the night before.

I guess the ~12 hours between toasting the pumpkin and starting the mash did something funky, because the final beer ended up having a nasty sourness to it. It diminished over time, but it peaked about three months ago and has been becoming steadily less drinkable.

When I first stared brewing I had no idea what DMS was let alone how to keep it out of my brew.

I was guilty of brewing a Pale ale with the lid on.

Yes. it was horrible and yes, I had no idea why until I found the brewing network
