Want to stop her from eating all your grain? Be nice to her and put about a half cup of it (munich is a good choice for flavor) in a cereal bowl, put some milk on it and serve it to her for breakfast. After eating that she will never touch it again. All that fiber will notify her colon that it is time for a very thorough housecleaning. Think 24 hour cleanse diet. It's best you do it on a weekend so she doesn't spend all day in the can at work.

The stuff tastes good and you feel great after its all over, but it is hell in between.

Whatever you do, don't tell her you heard this from me.

Yeah, I told her to watch it.
I think she had enough to trigger a nice poop.

How spicy does this turn out using all the Bourbon? I ask because most spiced beers are way overdone to my tastes.

So compared to Anchor Christmas?

Pretty sure thats why it is added to the keg and it is left to your discretion.

How spicy? Like snowcapt said, that's why you add to taste in the keg. I got in a hurry the last time I did this beer and dumped in too much of the bourbon and spice. Smelled great but was on the verge of being undrinkable. I ended up blending it with a Belgian wit that was just a little under attenuated and it turned out really good. Served it at a beer festival and other folks really liked it.

I got lazy and dumped last year, but it was just fine. I was doing a dilution series, but didn't feel like I was hitting an upper limit, so just went for all of it.

During the session Sunday night someone in chat mentioned that a local brewery had brewed a batch of this recipe. I was drunk and don't remember who said it or what brewery. Anyone have a clue? I would like to contact the brewery to see if I can talk them into sending me some.

Kegged and somewhat carbed. Tastes good. A bit cinnamony for me.
