I'm planning to brew the Captain Lawrence Xtra Gold clone recipe. Here is what I came up with based on the interview. I'm not the best at doing the conversions and wanted to run these numbers by everyone. The OG and FG should be pretty close. I know this might be a slightly bigger version with a touch higher IBU level but other then that does it seem to be in line with what the brewer presented as his recipe? Did I miss something or is there only an 80 minute, KO and dry hop addition for this beer? Do my late additions seem about right? I'm anticipating my FG may get lower as well. Is 2lbs of Clear Candi sugar too much (I know he uses regular old sugar, but I have 2 lbs of the candi sugar). Was figuring 2 lbs since they come in 1lb containers anyway and I like to keep things simple and use up what I have. Any feedback would be appreciated. I plan to order my ingredients on Friday and brew the following weekend.
