Water quality report help for my IPA

Fri May 16, 2014 1:58 pm

So here is the most recent water quality data I can find for my area.
http://www.carkw.com/wp-content/uploads ... 12-WEB.pdf

I am going to brew an ipa kit with all cascade and would like any opinions on the water quality, what to add (gypsum...etc) or what to avoid adding.
Any input is appreciated.

Sorry I didn't see this back when you submitted it.

It looks like you have a large amount of Chloride & Sulfate in your water, yet the calcium levels are low, which is surprising to me.
My gut instinct is to consider cutting it with distilled or RO then adding gypsum to get the calcium you need and to get the sulfate back up where it was.

I'm not a water expert. Hopefully one of our water experts will chime in on this topic.
