Hop Blending

I've decided to try my hand at my own hop blends after listening to Sunday's Session show. I've come up with two blends in particular that intrigue me. The plan is to brew an IPA with both and see how it shakes out...

A3 Blend (Apollo's Amarillo Aces)

45% - Apollo ( 18% Alpha Acid; citrus notes, orange-resiney-spicy)
35% - Sorachi Ace ( 10.9% Alpha Acid; powerful lemon aroma-flavorful)
20% - Amarillo ( 9.3% Alpha Acid; flowery, more orange than grapefruit)

Per 1 Oz of hops, there will be 12.75 g Apollo/10.1 g Sorachi Ace/5.5 g Amarillo.

Kapai Blend (South Pacific)

45% - Pacific Gem ( 15.1% AA; blackberry aroma, woodsy flavor)
35% - Pacifica ( 6.1% AA; orange marmalade citrus)
20% - Pacific Jade ( 14.4% AA; bold: fresh citrus & black pepper)

Per 1 Oz - 12.75 g Pac Gem/10.1 g Pacifica/5.5 g Pacific Jade.
