This will be my first time planting hops. I've got 6 rhizomes each of Cascade and Willamette.
My first thought was to up an 18 foot 4x4 and run 6 lines off of the top in teepee form, planting two rhizomes at the end of each line, but I'm concerned that I won't be able to get to the top of the thing to pick them, so my new plan is to put in 4 10' 4x4's in a sort of square pattern. Then connect the tops of all the poles with lines, and plant three rhizomes in each of four locations. I think it'll look better in the yard (kinda like a grape orchard), and it'll be easier to get to the hops.

Just bought 3 Hallertau... I think I will do the Tipi run the cords through Eye bolts and tie them down with a cleat farther down the post.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

Ordered a couple of Cascades the other day for my first attempt at growing hops. Convinced the folks at work that hops would look great growing over the arched gate in the fence around the camp garden. This way the kids at summer camp will take care of watering my hops this summer.
