Not at all. I do think I went insane, especially when I went back to this recipe and added some mash hops and First Wort hops and got it to a full 8 lbs. of wet hops. The Columbus is for bittering and is pellets. Even with all of these hops in there the IBUs are pretty in line with a IIPA. This recipe uses Cascade as the wet hop. In order to compensate for the wet vs dry conversion (5 to 1) I used our Cascade AA% (5%) and divided it by 5 and then multiplied the amount I was going to use by 5. Let me know if I explained this poorly.

We are doing this again this year. Basically everything is the the same but we lowered the price to $17.99 per lb.

Thanks,

If anyone is looking for Perle, Mount Hood or Cascade wet hops, I'll have some additional hops from my hopyard (Simpleearthhops.com) that I'm taking pre-orders for. These hops will be shipped directly from the hopyard (no middle man or homebrew shop) to you via USPS next day shipping. I've already harvested some of the more mature plants (and dry hopped with them in a ginger brown ale..yum!), but will harvesting the rest 8/20. If anyone is interested, check out hops.goodsie.com

So that's like $137.50 worth of hops?
