I'm going to brew my 1st all grain batch on Saturday morning, and since I've got several friends that looooooooooove wheat beers, I chose to make Jamil's American Wheat recipe in "Brewing Classic Styles." When I got to my brew supply store, there was a huge pile of glass carboys in front of the malt dispensers, so I asked an employee to fill my grain bags (so I wouldn't be the one who knocked over several hundred dollars worth of glass). I got my 6 pounds of 2-row without incident, but the 6 pounds of wheat malt was a different story - he filled the bag up, went to check the weight (it was at about 4 pounds), then came back and dumped about 1/4-1/2 of a pound of pilsner malt into the wheat malt bag before I realized that he was dumping the wrong stuff into my bag.
I didn't want to be a dick, so I bought the stuff and brought it home. I'm just wondering what I can expect from that mystery amount of pilsner malt - I honestly have no idea exactly how much he got in there. I'm brewing it either way, just looking for what to expect....
