www.NikoBrew.com Full time

Sat Nov 20, 2010 6:53 pm

Fellow BNers,

I just wanted to post a quick note and let you know that Nikobrew.com is now my fulltime gig. I know a lot of you knew that I had a fulltime career as well and as of yesterday morning that ended (not my idea). The upside is we've got enough dough to keep us going on a budget for 6-12 months before I have to get a real job. The goal during that time? Spend as much quality time with my family as possible while working to grow Nikobrew to replace a full time gig. I have a few plans in the works, one is to have pallets of grain shipped to homebrewers, primary homebrew clubs. If anybody wants to organize a group buy let me know via PM and I'll let you know what I can offer. This would be for folks on the west coast(ish) and you can get 20-45 bags of grain on a pallet. Of course the closer to 45 bags the lower the price would be. I've been doing this for my homebrew club and it's been working well so if anybody's interested let me know!

Some other things are in the works, I'd like you to expect faster shipping now as well as fast responses to your questions. If anybody has any thoughts, ideas, criticisms, suggestions, feel free to let me know. The BN army has been a major supporter of Nikobrew.com since I became a sponsor here and I've loved every minute of it. I see this as a blessing in disguise with the opportunity to create a passion into a career.

Thanks folks, and cya in chat tomorrow!

Wow Niko. I'll say a little prayer that this is a blessing for you. I haven't been able to brew in a couple of months, but as soon as time and money get back on track, I look forward to adding to the Niko Family coffers.

See you in the chat soon. Probably not tonight though. Eagles/Giants live wins over torturing myself that I can't taste Tasty's wonderful collaborations.

Sorry to hear Niko...

Why not try and get into the clone kit business? Start with Jamil & Tasty's CYBI recipes and go from there.
Market it to brewer's who aren't comfortable with their recipe formulation skills and want to learn about what different ingredients can offer. Maybe for the extremely new brewers, offer a SMaSH selection of kits to let newer brewers experience a single type of hop and what characteristics they have. Simcoe SMaSH, Amarillo SMaSH, Cascade, etc.

Best of luck!
