Washing (acid) is terribly inefficient on a homebrew scale. It's fun to do if you're into that sort of thing, but it's definitely not a step I would ever suggest to someone beyond doing it just for the sake of doing it.

Ive gone 5 with 1728 and still good results. Number 6 seemed to be losing its mojo and was a tad hazy. The best was number 3. I think if you were on a schedule that top cropping would be best and almost never ending
