El Dorado Hops?

Wed Aug 10, 2011 10:43 am

My LHBS is carrying these, the description is:

This brand new hop had an incredibly small planting of 1.5 acres in 2010. Characterisics are a candylike intense aroma of pear, cherry and other fruits such as pineapple. This hop was recently used by Flying Dog Brewery in a single-hop Imperial IPA for their Wild Dog Series.

Anyone have any experience with these? They sound pretty awesome...

Victory did an all El Dorado PA last year, I talked to a couple people that just said pungent hop. It wasn't quite that enjoyable in their opinion. Maybe try it in a small dose.
