Is it really "dry hopping" if you aren't adding hops? But I guess "dry carawaying" is a bit of a mouthful. :P

I submitted my Oktoberfest Cherrywood Smoked Rye Caraway beer to the Sam Adams Longshot for 2010. Got the scores back a few weeks ago. This one took a 38.5. The judges said they tasted the smoke and rye and liked the combo. They mentioned they could not taste the caraway seed. So I didn't use enough to get any noticable flavor. Just wanted to update on my prior post.

On tap: Vienna Lager, Bock, Dunkel, Belgian Pale, Tart Cherry Mead, Cal Amber Ale, PPA (Peruvian Purple Ale), Smoked Caraway Rye Oktoberfest
Fermenting: Nothing right now
