Wet Hopping Length

So I'm wet hopping for the first time, not following any particular recipe (using Jamil's American Pale for the base and some homegrown Cascade fresh hops). How long do you leave the hops in the secondary?

thanks!

I would say leave them in there and taste every 3 days.

We did wet hopping in a group brew with our club a few years ago. At knockout we pumped our hot wort (about 120 gallons) back into the mash tun with about 25 pounds of fresh picked hops. We recirculated it for about 5 minutes and then chilled with a big plate chiller.

Came out great even though everyone swore we would get massive oxidation. It didn't show any at all.
