WLP 830

Got my starter up to 1 gallon now. Only problem, my stir bar keeps falling off. I had to use my new tea jug, as it was the only thing big enough with a flat enough bottom. I tested it out with water first. I don't know how big the stir bar is, but do I need a bigger one or is it because I am using the tea jug? Where is a good place to get a bigger stir bar?

The good thing about the stir bar falling off, I got to see all the little yeasties on the bottom. Nice little pile of them!

If the bottom of the tea jug is curved what you really need is a barbell stirbar. You'd probably be better off in the long run just getting a big Erlenmeyer flask though. You can get stir bars, glassware, and other science stuff at Cynmar.
