water profile for dead guy clone

Wed Feb 17, 2010 5:05 am

hi
i'm going to brew cyb rogue dead guy clone, but i was wondering about what waterprofile to shoot for.
my water is very soft, Ca=4,65 Mg=0,9 Na= 8,9 Cl=9 SO4=2 Alkalinity CaCO3=20
would it make sense to aim for Randy Moshers APA?

I'm going to brew it soon as well. My first thought is that the Mosher APA profile is too bitter for a malt-forward maibock style but I have only been doing water adjustments for a few brews. I'd be interested inwhat others would recommend for this style as I've been wondering what water would be best as well.
