British Malt Flavors: Halcyon, Pearl and Optic.

Anyone have any experience with any of these malts? How do they compare to MO or regular old US 2-Row?

Thanks in advance!

I have used the Pearl before and been very pleased with the results. IMO, it provides the same biscuity, nutty, deep malt flavor that MO does. Can't comment on the Optic or Halcyon, but I would assume that they would also be quite similar (if not even impossible to detect any flavor differences) to MO and Pearl. As far as American 2-row is concerned, the American malt is much cleaner and more one dimensional than the British malts. I really only use American malts for brewing american styles of beer and that is pretty much it!
