KegWorks Keg Beer Insulator - 5 Gallon Size

Thu May 29, 2008 1:53 pm

Anyone use these? I've seen the neoprene wrap type things around before, but not with the 'ice blanket'. I'm wondering if I can pick up a few of these and not have to buy a jokeybox for mobile dispensing...
If anyone has tried them please let me know if they're worth a damn.
Many thanks.

I can't comment on the keg wraps other than to say for the price of a few of them you could have a jockey box.

Yeah...
I'm wanting to build a podium style portable dispense system, but want to try to avoid a jockeybox because they're so bulky. (the system will be three corny's and a co2 tank, with the podium enclosing them).
I was also wondering if I could build a smaller than normal jockey and use dry ice instead of regular, but that sounds like a pain in the ass...

I think I may buy just one of the wraps and see if they live up to the promise...

Sounds like a three tap kegerator packed full of this stuff would be a lot easier......

I use this thing for semi-portable, non-jockeybox dispensing.

When I need to go real portable, I put 3 cornies in a red plastic tub, put the tub on a 2 wheel dolly, wrap the cornies in a
closed cell camping pad, slide the tower over one of the kegs (the base is made to hold snug around a ball lock corny) put the CO2 bottle on the axle of the dolly and awaaaay we go.

Somewhere I have a picture but can't seem to find it ATM...Grrr...

It's kind of heavy when it's all loaded together, but I can get it up the ramp into the pickup. It's always easier loading it up to bring home :)
