Brand new 2.5 gallon kegs were just staring at me

Tue Jan 08, 2008 10:01 am

Twice now walking to or from work I saw the Coke distributor truck doing a delivery and inside the back of his truck was a pallet of brand new cornies (pin lock I presume) all shiny and wrapped in cellophane. It was all I could do to not bribe the guy and take them....though I might try that route in a few days. Can the BN Army covert Spec Ops regiment make a trip to Ottawa?

Man, I had no idea they were still using them. I thought both Coke and Pepsi had gone to the disposible (and cheaper) boxes of syrup...

.....crickets..... Kidding aside I think these ones are being used in those chip wagons around the downtown area. Not sure if there's a different term for them in the US

Never hurts to ask the guy. He may be able to direct you to the shop where they get rid of old ones on the cheap. A rebuild kit can be less than 5 bucks to change all the orings.

My plan exactly...though that's not nearly as cool as the BN Army Spec Ops regiment. One step at a time ;) I'll be sure to post if I am able to get some.

The BN Army has a Special Ops Regiment?? I thought all we had were the Engineers i.e. Smarty Pants and The Short Bus Brigade i.e. The rest of us tards.
We could recruit, we know that no Engineers are willing as they are very busy reinventing the wiring and components on Project Stir Plate. I guess we could see how many of the window lickers don't have their tongues stuck to a frozen flagpole and are not to mesmerized by their pet turtles. How big of a team do you think we will need to jack that corney truck, if it's more that two, we may need a bucket of warm water to get some to get some people loose from their cold, frozen prison. Then again, we may be able to mobilize some of the militia, if they can find their way to town that is.

That's a good point. I think what we'll need to do is recruit from the Short Bus Brigade but only gather members living in warm climates. That way they won't be stuck to poles (I said pole) however it will take some serious training to ensure they resist the temptation of those frozen lamp posts.....lots and lots of training. We'll also need some kind of muzzle for the operatives to be sure they don't start telling everyone they like turtles or start yelling "RAT PAD". This is a covert operation.
