Building a homebar with taps

Mon Aug 11, 2008 4:10 pm

I've built a kegerator and love it. I'm in the process of looking for a house now and want to build/buy a home bar and install 4+ taps on it. Right now I'm figuring the easiest way is to simply line the area under the counter with mini-frige's and have towers come out of the counter top. Anyone have any experience or suggestions regarding the topic?

Yep, to do it right (ie, best, consistent pour) you need a small squirrel blower and a 1" tube to push cold air up the tower from the fridge (available from micromatic). You will also need a small section of PVC pipe to bridge the gap between the frige and the tower. You want a sealed system, and you want the beer to be cold all the way to the faucet.

I don't see how a squirrel blower is going to help keep your beer cold. :crazybitch: :crazybitch: :crazybitch:

Simple, you blow the squirrel and he will like it so much that he will keep running on the treadmill keeping the fan running so that you will reward him by blowing him again.

What... you can't blow a squirrel AND hold it's legs?

Well, usually when I find myself blowing a squirrel, my hands are... shall we say, otherwise occupied...
