supposedly your able to filter piss through those things too, but I am sorry, i like a bit more freshness in my water. Granted it would be sterile, but there might be a bit of smell left that would wreck my whole freshwater drinking experience :x

I know a few pro brewers that store hops in cornys.
Makes it easy to purge the o2 out...
