with this - my RIMS module

Image

about 500ml volume with a 2000W (240V) element. Made up as a foreigner by one of the fitters at work and the element is out of a $10 electric kettle. Controlled by a cheap e-bay PID and a mechanical relay. Recirculated via stock standard March pump. All held together with big tri-clover clamps so it can be pulled apart and properly cleaned after each brew. Stops the issue of any build up on the element contributing burned flavours.

Disassembled

Image

The re-circ circuit goes Mash tun - March pump - RIMS unit - Mash tun with the RIMS unit at the lowest point so it can never really run dry

The propellor on my beanie doesn't spin that fast. I know you were speaking English, but didn't understand a word you said.

sorry dude - the guy who built it for me did so from "spare parts" and "scrap" at his work .. to buy the materials and stuff would cost a bloody bomb. It cost me a 6 pack and $11 for the electric kettle I scavenged the element from.

It is sweet though isn't it. I got really lucky on that score
