I tried to hoist my HLT up with pulleys once. It seemd the 2X4 was a bit weak. The hook promptly came loose and the HLT came to a quick low.
That was the day I ordered my pump I think!


Nice Burners above! How many BTU's are those puppy's?
What's your propane bill?

Those are the Natural Gas puppy's from B3, aren't they? 200,000 BTU's???

trust me that pully ain't ever coming down...
3 2x4's stacked across 4 rafters.
I hung my buddy from it for 30 minutes on a bet... I won. 250lbs or so.

Got the 23 jet ones for same price as the smaller ones from B3. Dunno what the difference is, but they sure are plenty hot to bring things up to a boil (and make a volcanic boilover)

This is what I did all day!!

I've still got a bunch of grinding to do to clean it up. I'll add some shelves to it tomorrow and after that I'll paint it. Tomorrow's main project is to get the gas pipes installed and it technically could be ready to brew on next week.

I'm really happy with the way it is turning out.
