I just brewed this clone yesterday we will see how it comes out...I followed there recipe pretty closely and used the 002

WLP007 kicks butt, handles a lot of alchohol too ;)

used the 1098 (equiv to 007) and took 1st in American Ales at the New England Regional Homebrew Competition this past weekend w the Mirror Pond clone recipe
On tap 1: Dry Irish
On tap 2: El Jefeweizen
On tap 3: Vienna
kegged: Rye Amber, Belgian Dark Strong, CYBI Mirror Pond, Irish Red, RIS
lagering: Vienna, Helles, Cream Ale, CAP

I just did a side by side with my Black Butte Porter where I used the WLP002. The homebrew version is creamier while the commercial version is crisper. I would think if I had used the 007 it would be even closer to a clone. Anyone else come across this?
