I would think that since they cloned it then it would turn out like the commercial version

Yeah I was just wanting to hear any comments from other BNers who brewed it, if they thought it was cloned as well. I brewed a 1.039 blonde ale with pacman yeast, so I am have a ton of Pacman to use for my next brews. Planning to do the dead guy (2nd gen. pacman), then the either the Rye IPA or green flash west coast IPA after that using 3rd gen pacman.

How about water profiles? I don't remember them giving anything specific in the show.

In the Shakesphere stout show John said they just de-chlorinate the water, some of the recipes the add some Gypsum, but I doubt Dead Guy is one of them

No water adjustments for dead guy, although I added some calcium chloride to bump up my calcium levels

I've got a starter of pacman going now, and the grains are already milled. Tried to brew this over the weekend and got a leak in my tun, so hopefully I'll be brewing it tonight or tomorrow.
On Tap:
1. Black as Coal Stout
2. Yellow Snow Pils
3. Smivey Brown Christmas Ale
4. Blueberry Pie Blonde

Secondary: empty
Primary: Doo Doo Brown Ale

I've got a problem with my fermentation fridge...its not cooling anymore...I was able to hold the beer at 61 degrees for 3 days of very active fermentation, but last night, it slowly rose to 69 degrees...I hope it will still be clean enough...tasty said at around 6 days it was 90% complete..so if I'm lucky it will still have the right flavor profile.
