Re: Mixing Black Butte Porter and Holgate Brown Ale Recipes

I've been drinking the Pecan Porter, and have to say it's pretty good. The chocolate wheat malt doesn't appear to add much in the way of roast flavor. The pecans too are slightly sweet, so this beer has a sweeter finish than I would expect from a regular porter. I think it would have benefited from a bit more roast and promise to pay more attention to my order next time. But I am not pouring this out! I am even sending it to Nationals.
