There have been a few times where the language has been brought up, with brewers in the studio(or on location Sam Caligioni dropped the f bob) even sponsors that have said they wouldn't want to sponsor "another beer podcast" that keeps itself "clean" for mass market appeal and won't speak their mind.

And yes JP has no fucks to give but the kid is on point with a lot of his rants.

As a guest I try to only let the show go off topic for short (non-beer) tangents. What makes good radio has not changed. However, this is infotainment and Justin has done a great job when I have been in the studio at walking the line. Whenever I am on the show I pay close attention to his lead. As, far as language goes I use bar rules: No religion, no politics.

Solid post and sums what - what little thoughts I had about the subject. The Session just reminds me of sitting in a local bar/tap room/beer bar etc chatting with brewers and talking about random shit. Its all good. I love it and will continue to come back for more.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Your opinion, nothing more.

Well, fuckety-fuck-fuck that!
I think that the participants in the show and the listeners are awesome. Is there really anybody else that can top the group of people that have been brought together for the simple purpose of drinking and making better beer? Not to mention generating more interest to the industry of craft beer AND homebrewing. I dont think so.
The guests are the best of the best. Even some of the cast members know what the hell they are talking about. Some of 'em.
Can you imagine a show that was one long fucking beep, and then you hear the words, "yep yup, yep, yep"?

Quotes that apply according to Brewdouche:

" I wanted to burn the Louvre. and wipe my ass with the Mona Lisa. This is my world, now. This is my world, my world, and those ancient people are dead."
"Nothing was solved when the fight was over, but nothing mattered."
"What you see at fight club is a generation of men raised by women. I'm a thirty-year-old boy, and I'm wondering if another woman is really the answer I need"
"You see a guy come for the first time, and his ass is a loaf of bread. You see the same guy here 4 weeks later, and he's carved of wood"
"At the time, my life just seemed too complete, and maybe we have to break everything to make something better out of ourselves."
"I wasn't the only slave to my nesting instinct. The people I know who used to sit in the bathroom with pornography, now they sit in the bathroom with their IKEA catalogues."
"Sticking feathers up your butt [...] does not make you a chicken." p 60
"Maybe self-improvement isn't the answer, maybe self-destruction is the answer."
"It's only after you've lost everything, that you're free to do anything."

I grow weary of all your silly witty complaints.
Shut up, and drink & make better beer.
Or go away angry enough to tell people not to listen.
More will.

For a while the meltdown was an entity that reared its head at the end of the Session, but that meltdown feel has been carried over to the beginning of the show now too. Unfortunately at times this leads to the interview, feedback, and other segments of the show becoming, what appears to be on occasion, an bothersome afterthought.

The addition of Nate to the Session has been great because his is more beer focused than Doc. The last couple of years it seems Doc just gets hammered, which is a shame because he knows a ton of shit.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Session and the other shows that the BN produces, that doesn't mean that I think that they are perfect. In my mind, the BN is the best in brewing info and entertainment on podcast, but that doesn't grant them infallibility.

+1. I don't listen to the new shows as closely as the old shows for some reason. Although I listen to all the CYBIs. I thought it was just me. I think Mills nailed it: the show has become more of a comedy show. Not that there's anything wrong with that... Having just come home from a trip to SGTSatan's house, 4 hours each way. I can tell you that the Session does make the drive time go by quicker.

And now Beevo's gone, too. :(

I don't like your catholic bashing

The new shows rock. Everybody quit being so whiny.
