I don't think I like what I'm hearing. Censoring?!? And it sounds like they'll have a live audience. I hope they have a separate area.

Yeah, I have a feeling they'll be forced to censor themselves. With people nowadays being sensitive little bitches; some retard will sue because someone said a derogatory word. I think the tap room will be successful but the show will eventually be moved or blocked from the people in the bar.

I don't understand the censorship concern... If you don't like it you can just leave the bar? Really how many people that go to bars are going to offended? I would say not enough to be concerned about it.

Even I have a limit to how many dick, fart, jerking off jokes I want to hear if I'm out at a bar with friends. And with EJ Phair right next door, people may just decide to go there. Of course now that every session is going to be on Monday night, I bet only the hardcore drinkers and people there for the show would be the majority of the crowd.

I'm more concerned that there will be noise from the crowd. The way that they talked last night, it sounded like they wouldn't have a booth. I'm most likely wrong, but it would suck if I'm right. They just figured out how to stop talking on top of each-other and it would suck if we had crowd noise. :asshat:

Although, one of the funniest things I've heard in a while was sugar valley's line about Bevo and I'd hate for that to be censored.

On 11/20/13 Hop Grenade, LLC posted a notice on the door of the space next to a regular stop of mine (EJ Phair). A quick search of the California ABC Database Query system showed the owners to be Justin, Moscow, and Martin Moscowitz who I assumed was Moscow's dad and money guy. I didn't know until I saw the article in a local magazine that we'd be doing the shows from there. That wasn't a huge surprise because I remember bouncing ideas around with Justin more than a year ago about having a bar/studio combination.

I think I can predict with certainty that customers in the bar are going to pretty much ignore what's going on in the booth unless there's something special going on. Most patrons are going to want to hear the traditional background of recorded or live music not beer nerds while they hangout with friends. The crowd will talk over any audio whether it's music or Tasty talking about fermentation temperature. In short time the podcasters will ignore the audience in return except for the occasional girl I've talked into showing me something.

And that's reason #3 why 'Partying with Tasty' is on my bucket list...

They're going to have to do more nutters shows once the fishbowl is up.
