On 11/20/13 Hop Grenade, LLC posted a notice on the door of the space next to a regular stop of mine (EJ Phair). A quick search of the California ABC Database Query system showed the owners to be Justin, Moscow, and Martin Moscowitz who I assumed was Moscow's dad and money guy. I didn't know until I saw the article in a local magazine that we'd be doing the shows from there. That wasn't a huge surprise because I remember bouncing ideas around with Justin more than a year ago about having a bar/studio combination.
I think I can predict with certainty that customers in the bar are going to pretty much ignore what's going on in the booth unless there's something special going on. Most patrons are going to want to hear the traditional background of recorded or live music not beer nerds while they hangout with friends. The crowd will talk over any audio whether it's music or Tasty talking about fermentation temperature. In short time the podcasters will ignore the audience in return except for the occasional girl I've talked into showing me something.
