Is JP a beer snob

Thu Aug 22, 2013 9:33 am

I understand that JP doesn't like IPAs, which is fine by me. But after listening to this weeks session, I think his snobbery is at an all time high.
He speaks as though IPAs are the trailer trash of the craft beers and that anyone who drinks them is uneducated... They're popular for a reason....

I say yes what say you.

btw I'm a fan of JP not a hater. :unicornrainbow:

I just think he likes cats and hanging around places with large concentrations of children too much. That pretty much makes any of his other numerous odd opinions null and void.

btw I also don't hate JP.... Bless his heart.

Because he has an educated, refined palette & knows what he likes? Or maybe because his personal preferences are a more volatile topic than, say, really disliking Oktoberfests? Or possibly because he let it run the whole show & let it turn into somewhat of a bit?

I finally synced my iPod last night so I got to listen to the show this morning. I don't think he came across that way what so ever.

I generally don't like Oktoberfests. Very few good commercial examples IMO. I haven't listened to the show either. I will today at work.

JP is the Naz! If I was gay I'd be all on his jock! He is the most entertaining of all the brewcasters and they all are grrrreat too! He makes me laugh so hard I almost pee my pantaloons.

But I must say I think it's ironic how not only him but a lot of folks think that their palates are superior because they prefer "session beers". Nothing against sessions beers, I love all beers but what's so sophisticated about drinking plain boring beer with low alcohol, low IBUs and not much malt character?

If I wanted that I'd drink a Bud Light

Guess I'm just trailer trash who likes beer with bold and exciting characteristics. Yes I get excited about beer folks.
Fermenting: Black IPA, Barley Wine, Cider and Imperial Stout

I get the bit thing, and I think it's pretty fun, but he has been shitting on IPAs a little too much and it hurts my feeling. :asshat:
