9-14-08 Radio Silence and Archives

Tue Dec 29, 2009 8:36 am

So, I just reached this point in the archive, and of course the description is obtuse and clandestine so I don't know who passed away or what, and I was curious, so I went looking through the board, and not a single mention.

Second question then, is somebody going through and routinely deleting the past postings? On the Sunday Session page, I noticed there was only one page of topics, and that can't possibly be all of the topics from the last four years.

So, apart from the original subject of this posting, would whichever jackass thought it was a good idea to clean up the past board postings, please cease and desist? Apparently you have never been on a message board in the past 15 years, and don't realize that a strong archive is all the rave? I mean, come on, who doesn't love to go back and re-live flame wars?

Also, had you not locked up the past topics, I would have found out through the board what was up with that episode, and never had to write this post.

Prost.

(of course, all due respect to the fallen solider stuff, just would like to know who it was)

Settle down there fella.

The show specific sections of the forum are relatively new. The only offense (if you want to call it that) the admins could possibly be guilty of here is not going through 4 years of postings and organizing them by show. Lazy bastards.

The old show related postings are in the beer radio forum. If you look there you will find 51 pages of good old fashioned :asshat: ery. If you listen to the archives and read the boards you will realize Justin and the rest believe in letting the place police itself in all but the most extreme instances.

RDWHAHB and appreciate what the fellas do around here.

+10

Before you start blaming people for stuff, you should try to figure it out on your own. Like BrewChemistinCO said, all the old archive stuff is in the Beer Radio section, not the sub-sections. Also... if memory serves me correctly, that was the week that Shumans dad passed.

And while I'm at it... who starts a thread asking about someone passing away and follows that up by blasting people about posts?!?! Dude... you need to take you meds.

Someone with internet ADD and a keyboard? I think the Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory applies.

Ahh, still refreshing how much calamity one can cause with just a few careless keystrokes. Also, I love ranting. <sigh>

Thanks for the assist.

Yeah but you're asking about someone's death. Don't see how any of it is refreshing at all.

I know what I would do if I was a mod or admin on here but I'm not.
