It'll get updated eventually. I have my iTunes setup to automatically download them. The missing date might be why they don't show up in iTunes regularly until Tues/Weds.

Great show, was cool to here that Mills had some great beer, and that he learned alot of his brewing skills right here on the BN. The progression of Nicole's intoxication was hilarious, really loved at the end when they are deciding to do the outro you can here her in the background throwing up??? Hilarious name that tune, just a great show all around, The :asshat: really brought it strong, cant wait for more in 2013

Happy Holidays to all you glorious bastards who have made homebrewing an exciting obsession in my first year! :drink SAK
Bottled: fresh hop pale ale
On tap: Moose bile strong ale
In the cellar: Taqu'il's Fat Black Imperial Stout
Lagering:
In the fermenter: Moose drool clone
In the works: Taqu'il's Fat Black Imperial stout

Popped up in iTunes sometime in the last 6 hours for auto-download subscribers, complete with release date & the works.

Usually happens by Tues/Weds, but sometimes Thurs/Fri. If you hunted it down in iTunes before the date/info was added, you can re-download the correct copy now.

Listened to most of it this morning. Good stuff. Can't wait to finish it tomorrow morning. Mills, I have a question if you'd be so kind to answer. My brain works in numbers & I was a little disappointed they briefly talked about the complexity of the honey in your kolsch but really didn't go into it very far, instead talking about different options like the honey malt and such. Would you mind sharing some of the brewer's info like what kind of honey, how much honey you used & how late you added it in the process? It piqued my interest but I couldn't mentally taste it with the descriptions given on air.

For sure man. I will post the exact recipe later but for now here is the scoop with the honey. It was just a locally sourced wild flower honey. My LHBS carries honey from them and that is what Iwent with. It was 60lbs in a 15bbl batch. It was added at whirlpool. We whirlpool for 10 minutes, then let it rest 30-40 min before running off.

I can post more specifics later, but I think it was 87% Weyermann Pils and 13% Wheat. 1.5lbs of Magnum at 60, which on my system tastes like 15 ibu. OG: 1.044ish FG: 1.004

I pitched the WL kolsch yeast at 59 and left it there for 48 hrs, I then shut the jacket off and it worked it's way up to 70 over the next few days. Lagered it at 34 for four weeks.

I did float the honey container in hit water to make it easier to pour. I will double check this info but I think it is all correct.

Let me know if that helps or leads to more questions.

The local brewery that I worked at here has it's main brew as 'Salmon Fly Honey Rye' (all their beers are named after fly fishing patterns) so I know all about that soak the bucket game  Such a PITA dealing with mass quantities of honey!

Personally I don't have anymore questions. I wasn't after a recipe as much as trying to understand what exactly they were talking about without any details, but some others around here might want to do a little CYBI on it :D I know, I'm kinda weird. Seeing numbers like that helps me 'taste' the beer in my head. This one sounds rather delicious. I think I may try a 1-off with my blonde recipe using that honey technique & a few other little adjustments. Thanks for the info Mills. About to head to work so I can finish the last hour or so of the show.

Just finished up the interview portion of this PC and it's one of the best shows I've heard in awhile. Good job keeping up with all of the asshattery that goes on. You held your own, gave them some great beer and gave great interview. I don't have any plans to make it up towards Michigan, but I'll definitely keep an eye out for any distribution that takes place in the southeast. Great job, Mills.
