Just finished listening to the Moonlight Show. Anyone else notice that Brian sounds like Tom Petty? Come on Baby Dolls you know I am right!

I said that in the chat during the first BH show, but Jamil was too fired up about style for anyone to read my post.

I did not enjoy that show, and it was the first Sunday Session that I can remember skipping through big chunks of. I kept flashing back to what the guest from Northern Brewer had to say about some peoples' perception of homebrewing as a hobby. It also seemed like over half the show was the meltdown. Sometimes the meltdown is hilarious, and sometimes it's just kinda tedious. That's just one man's opinion, though.

That was the most painful Session EVER! I love the BN and live mostly on the session. On a good road trip only a good long session carries me through. However, this guy is a narcissistic blow hard that cares more about taking 100 times longer than necessary to make a point mostly not worth making in the first place.

To me the whole concept of modern home brewing and craft brewing in general is to share and apply as much information, knowledge and technique as possible to craft the BEST tasting brew possible. Understanding how locale influenced styles is fine but to suggest that I should NOT use science and information to bridge gaps that brewers had to work around 200 years ago is simply BULLSHOT! I sure hope world class brewers like Tastey don't follow his suggestions! Keep finding the best ingredients to make the best brew regardless of where they come from. Experiment and mix ingredients that previously could not be mixed because of distance and keep pushing the envelope!

The tool could have said it all in 3 minutes and I might have thought it interesting. Instead he said it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and.....thank god I can fast forward a podcast!

Asshats, sorry to bitch. In all the episodes, this is the first worth bitching about. In fact, you TOTALLY redeemed the show with Dan the following week. Great One; as are almost all of them. Keep it up and just take this rant and a bit of feedback when considering booking (or hopefully not) Blow Hard Brian in the future.

he is indeed a little full of himself (a lot actually) and a bit of a blowhard... I was getting pretty annoyed throughout the show, but what are you going to do.

I agree. I've been listening to The BN since 2005 and that was the worst show by far. That guy loves to hear himself ramble about useless facts and bullshit. I'm all for creativity but at the end of the day It's fucking beer get over yourself.

Listen to The Russian River Show, then listen to this fucknut then form your own opinion.
