brewed a german pils today with my first temp infusion mash (in a cooler) ...props to beersmith for getting the numbers right on...I hit all my temps and did a single decoction for the mash out...beautiful color and smelled amazing...topped all that off with a pound each of fresh picked wet Santiam and Nugget in the whirlpool...pitching a big starter of german lager yeast and I cant fucking wait...

Bottling tonight. Got a 5 gal batch of APA, another 5 gals of DFH Raison D'être clone, and 2&1/2 gals of Belgian cider.

SWMBO is excited about learning the process, so that's cool. We may be a two brewer household soon If this keeps up!

added a pound of rye to the grain bill. should be hitting 1.070.

Sounds fuckin yummy..... Did you keep the IBU's low and then spank it with the whirlpool addition?

I spent the day getting ready to brew tomorrow. My ph meter fucked up my day! Going for a Belgian special ale for my seasonal Xmas beer.
