I brewed my Aloha Pale Ale again on Sat. Second degree burn from boiling water on the whole ring finger of my right hand. Wrapped it up with aloe and sparged. The rest went well until I caught the heel of my left foot on the shed door while cleaning up. Had flip flops on so it gashed open. Dressed that good and took a nap. After a 2.5 hr lag phase, the Aloha Pale Ale is bubbling away nicely. Some things just seem more rewarding when they don't come easy. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

I'll be starting my Cascadian Dark Ale, the "Black Witch," at around 12:oo p.m. MST. Loaded with Centennial and Falconer's Flight hops and dry hopped with whole Cascade.
brewing up a wet hop cascade IPA today...the bines are loaded with cones the size of my thumbs that are ready and need to be picked...going to use standard hops for bittering and load it up at the end of boil with 1.5# of hop goodness, then dry hop with another 1.5#...increased my batch size by a gallon so I can hopefully still put a full 5 gallons in the keg.
cheers!
