How is my wash?

Fri Dec 28, 2007 8:26 pm

I have had a few practice runs before. I plan on pitching some of this to beer in the next couple of days.
I just want to see what you guys thought of my wash job? I am thinking due to recent alterations to my kettle I am getting less trub in my fermenter.

I am wondering if I just have good and dead yeast here?

Looking for some criticism!

Now going to try and figure out how to post pics.

This was my kettle set up.

I was having issues with it draining, like a half an hour to drain to the fermenter. The IC was mashing up the SS braid. So I had to take it apart and fix the SS braid. Then I looped the SS braid in towards the outer wall of the kettle under the dip tube (no pic). Two brews on that set up and it looks nicer.

I did add water to the carboy and shook that up and then poured that off first.

Do I you think I have clean yeast?
