You should be fine... with a beer that big you will need 350 billion yeast cells which works out to 3.5 Wyeast packs or build an appropriate starter. For the dry yeast, you'll be fine with two 11.5 gram packages. Just make sure that you hydrate the yeast first.

Also, going forward use this calculator for your yeast: http://www.mrmalty.com/calc/calc.html

Good luck... a beer that big can be challenging to get it to ferment out... Chances are you just under-pitched it.

What's the best way to go about hydrating the yeast?

I've been doing this less than a month. Hope I'm not annoying you all with the dumb questions :?
Ideating - Kolsch, Hefeweizen, Raspberry Wheat
Primary - Chocolate Stout 1.5
Secondary - None.
Bottles - Pirate's Gold Ale, Northwestern Honey Amber Ale

SHEEEIT with that gravity you certainly needed a starter... grab a couple packets of dry and toss them in after another day if you see nothing.
perhaps 3-4 packets wouldn't hurt, check out mr. malty and let him calc them out... even if you don't use the yeast on this batch it is good to have around just in case.

The only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask.

This is totally true. The BN army is happy to help each other. When you have a resource like this available it would be dumb not to use it.
