Metheglin?

Mon Aug 15, 2011 2:22 pm

Hmm I've never made a mead, but I've tasted a Metheglin. I'd love to make one. Any suggestions or pointers as to where to look for more info?

I'd start with the Rabbits Foot Meadery show... I've never made a mead but this show had a lot of info!

That actually sounds pretty damn tasty (aside from the raisins, I hate raisins...)

The raisins add a little acid for balance and some nutrients for the yeast. There aren't enough raisins in there that you can taste any raisin flavor.

In my version, I replace half the lemons with limes. Even tastier that way. :)
