21 A Beer Can Chicken mmmmmmmmhhhh...

Sun Dec 10, 2006 6:13 pm

I recently made a 21st Amendment IPA beer can chicken. It turned out awesome! A friend brought me a few sixers from his trip to the bay area. I have not found a location here in SD that sells the 21 A IPA.

Cheers!

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

This is awesome! I have yet to try the 21A-IPA beer can chicken, although I am a big fan of cooking chicken that way. And yes it does make me feel warm inside and not in a no-pants kind-of-way...

I have to try that. I have a few of the 21A Ipa's in my fridge.

Since the 21A does not distribute in Colorado I use Oskar Blues, Old Chub.

"Old Chub is a Scottish strong ale brewed with hearty amounts of seven different malts, including crystal and chocolate malts, and a smidge of US and UK hops. Old Chub also gets a dash of beechwood-smoked grains imported from Bamburg, Germany, home of the world's greatest smoked beers. Old Chub is 8% alcohol by volume. "

Just sprinkle the chick with your favorite seasonings, shove a half a can of chub in your chick and cook the bird on the grill for about one and a half hours at around 350 deg. This makes for a great rich and savory flavor!
